Q: Hi there,
I have three questions:
1) Having read the information about higher wattage having nothing to do with suction and the information about vacuum and air flow being the specs to focus on, can I confirm that, according to the Specs for the Pacvacs (Prolite, 700, Duo 700, Micron 700 and Trans 700), the Prolite has the best maximum vacuum and airflow specs (in other words that the lower the number for maximum vacuum (as they are negative numbers) and the higher the number for air flow, the better)?
2) Where do I find their suckometer ratings?
3) Where do I find the Stealth vacuum mentioned in one of the answers previously?
Thank you,
Karen

A: Hi Karen,
You have asked some excellent questions.
1/ You are right in saying that the Prolite has a better specification in relation to airflow and vacuum but there are other things to consider, for example...
a. The accessories are of a lower domestic quality in the Prolite.
b. The filtration system is nowhere near as good as the Stealth or the other Pacvac back pack vacuum cleaners and that means suction drastically reduces as the machine fills with debris.
c. Suction readings are taken when the vacuum is empty and in a machine with lower quality parts this can make it difficult to compare.
d. The Prolite has a lower quality motor and it will not suck as well when the machine is full of dirt.
2/ We rate the Prolite as a domestic / light commercial vacuum cleaner. We usually only use our suckometer on fully commercial rated equipment.
3/ To find the Stealth, just click on Vacuum Cleaners in the navigation (the green band on top of page), then click on back pack vacuum cleaners. The Stealth is the black machine that appears first.
I hope this info helps and if you have any further questions please give us a call on 1300 822 626.
Have a great day.

Q: Dear staff,
1. Where is the Pacvac made. (We prefer Australian made, but I do not think there is one made here - BQ)
2. What is your warranty
3. If we are in the Blue Mountains, do we get a local warranty repairer?
4. Do you do demonstrations on site?

A: Hi Bluey & Boz,
Thanks for your question.
The Pacvac's are made in China, if you would prefer an Aussie made machine have a look at the Stealth. The Pacvac does come with a warranty (12 months). There is a 2 year warranty on the motor provided no water or dust gets through. There are people who repair and service these back pack vacuum cleaners all over Australia. If you can send us your postcode, we can let you know of your closest repairer. And to answer your last question, we do not offer an onsite demonstration service of these particular machines because our wholesale pricing does not make this viable.
I hope all this info helps with your decision.
Have a great day.

A: Hi Cameron,
Thanks for your question.
The Prolite comes with everything you need including...
• KC Floor Tool
• Chrome Wand (2 Piece)
• Hose Assembly (including hose to machine connector, hose and elbow)
• Crevice Tool
• Cloth dust bag
• Cord Restraint
As far as your Miele is concerned, it would depend on which accessories you have whether they will fit or not. But I can confirm you get all the basic accessories you require included with the Prolite machine. Hope this info helps.
Have a great day

Q: Does this prolite use the early style of filter and bag. ? i.e. cloth bag then a plastic cone holding down a flat replaceable paper filter then a foam pad at the bottom ? The pro 700 has a 2stage filter is it safe to assume the prolite is a one stage motor ?

A: Hi Wayne,
Great questions! Thanks for getting in touch.
No, the Prolite doesn't have the old style PacVac Superpro cone set up with white filter underneath. The Prolite is more like a traditional backpack vacuum cleaner set up with a plain cloth bag in the cannister tank with no cone.
Regarding your next question, the PacVac 700 actually has a single stage vac motor. It's the 700 Duo that has what some people call 2 stage/twin fan motor however that's a little deceiving. It's not a true 2 stage motor. The second fan does not add to the suction as it is there to cool the motor. The proper name is bypass motor. They are heavier, they don't suck as well (despite what people say - check the specs) but they do give an extra element of safety should fine dust or moisture accidently get through to the motor. This is no guarantee damage won't be done though.
Have a look too at the Stealth, that's my favourite backpack vac.
Hope this info helps.
