DESCRIPTION
“My surfaces look great when they are wet but look terrible when they are dry” is becoming a very common statement made by clients with stone surfaces. Colour & Depth Seal was designed to give these clients the solution but it turns out that the product has countless other problem solving and application traits.
Fantastic testimonials from professional stone sealers are growing dramatically. Many professionals are now talking about how the product has positively changed thier business! Colour & Depth Seal is a state of the art solvent based colour & depth floor sealer that contains a complex, high tech blend of quality solvents and resins to achieve unequalled look and durability. The precise blend of ‘nano’ resins impregnate, react and bond deep into the stone structure protecting it with a repellent shield from food, beverages, water and oil based contaminants. The resins bring out the beautiful depth and colour in the stone by altering the reflection of light off the surface as well as concealing surface scratches and imperfections.

LIFE EXPECTANCY & COVERAGE
Expected Wear: Optimum life expectancy for a correctly sealed and maintained surface is 3-5 years. However, application methods, weather conditions, traffic, applications and harsh cleaning methods will effect wear. See ‘Maintenance’ section for correct maintenance procedures. It is recommended that Colour & Depth Seal should be reapplied every 3-5 years in harsh conditions.
Note: Colour & Depth Seal is a permanent treatment and cannot be removed once applied
Coverage Rates:
- Highly textured and porous surfaces: First coat is approximately 10-20 square metres per litre. Second Coat is approximately 15-30 metres per litre.
- Smooth and dense surfaces: First coat is approximately 30-50 square metres per coat. Second Coat is 40-60 square metres per coat.
Colour & Depth Seal is a 1-2 coat system depending on the surface and desired look. Application rates vary depending on the porosity and texture of the surface being sealed. Life expectancy and correct coverage (eg. coats/app. rate) are interdependent.
ALWAYS TEST FIRST
Because all surfaces are different, we always recommend that you perform a small test patch in an inconspicuous area to ensure you will get the desired result. Allow 24 hours curing time before assessing the sample area for suitability. A test patch also doubles as a demonstration. For example; Pour a liquid onto sealed and unsealed section of the tile to show your client the advantage of Colour & Depth Seals repellent protection shield against staining.
VENTILATION
When using Colour & Depth Seal ensure the area to be sealed is suitably ventilated.
Note: Air conditioners are not a form of ventilation and should be turned off during application.
DRYING TIMES
Allow 20 minutes between coats. Keep traffic off for 2 hours. Keep surface dry for 12 hours. Achieves a full cure in 24-48 hours.
TEMPERATURE
Surface temperature must be between 6–34ºC for successful application.
GUARANTEE
Most applicators of Colour & Depth Seal offer a conditional guarantee of 3-5 years. Guarantees are only ever offered by professionals applicators and are conditional on factors such as correct maintenance.
