 Are you confused when you rock up to a carpet cleaning job? Which chemical should I use and how should I use it? Like a lot of your peers, you have 20 different carpet cleaning chemicals in the van to select from, all different brands, the bottles all read well, but you have so many because you keep trying new formulas due to poor results from all the other cleaning chemicals in the van!
Confidence is a wonderful thing. Doubt makes for a tough day at the office.
I’d like to focus this article to carpet cleaners using the ‘Hot Water Extraction” method either using a portable carpet cleaning machine or truck mounted setup.  Wow! We have been blown away by the support and encouragement we have received after the launch of “The Aussie Factor”. A comittment to bringing to you wherever possible, Aussie Made cleaning supplies, chemicals and washroom products from Aussie owned companies. At Total, we have been in-undated with calls, letters and emails of support, not to mention, increased orders for our products. Your positive comments, feedback and putting your money where your mouth is has been truly amazing and has motivated us to keep bringing it to you.
Due to a large and increasing number of questions relating to the second part of our comittment “Bringing to you Aussie Made Products from Aussie Owned companies” I am writing this article to answer those questions and to share, educate and inform everyone about this very important part and commonly overlooked area of your purchasing.
Australians are beginning to understand the importance of purchasing Australian Made products (and if it’s food, Australian Grown.) It’s for jobs as well as good and acceptable product standards and quality for health and hygiene.

 No one knows wool like Aussies (and New Zealanders of course). We love the UK and US but we really don’t need them to tell us what can and can’t be used on wool. In Australia we have the technical know how and expertise within our own home grown chemical industry to develop, test and approve world leading wool maintenance products that are the very best available and completely safe on wool. We sell products with different wool approvals including Woolsafe and our own Wool Approved program. I always tell people that if its not stamped with the Total Supply Wool Approved Logo, you may well be settling for second best! Why?  This is a great question and one we are often asked about these floor pads. It really depends on the situation… both floor pads are used very successfully on porcelain floor tiles. The white floor pad is a more aggressive polishing pad and is better on heavier marking but the lambswool floor pad is gentler and better at removing streak marks from mops and other residues. There is a time and a place for both, so I wouldn’t say one is better than the other. Another pad worth looking at is the microfibre floor pad, this type of floor pad is now becoming very popular because it both cleans and buffs brilliantly. It is gentle on surfaces, cheaper than a lambswool floor pad and can clean when dry, damp or wet. If you are a professional in the tile and floor care business don’t bother trying to choose between them, you will need all three. In the case of transport wax removal on newly laid porcelain floor tiles we recommend using a tan polishing pad in conjunction with our Porcelain Transport Wax Remover Cream as the first step.
